Understanding the book editor
This explains what you'll see after a book is generated and what you can do from the editor screen.
Overview
The book editor is your command center for a completed book. You reach it by clicking any book from the My Books page or after generation completes. Everything you need — preview, edit, export, metadata — lives here.
Layout
The editor shows:
- Book title (click to rename)
- Status badge — draft, generating, completed, or failed
- Page grid — thumbnail of every generated page
- Cover section — front cover and back cover previews
- Export buttons — KDP PDF, Etsy PDF, KDP Cover, Video
- Metadata panel — description, subtitle, keywords, Etsy tags, Pinterest copy
- Series assignment — link the book to a series or create a new one
- Front matter — optional introduction/dedication page
